CCCF is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization, and all donations, bequests, transfers or gifts made to CCCF are tax deductible to the full extent allowed by law. CCCF is audited annually by an independent public accounting firm, and our audited financial statements are available upon request.

Each year, we hope to serve more than 1000 families in our local community through our after-school program, summer camp, senior services, adult education and job training program, and community activities.

About C.C.C.F.

Founded in 2011, the Chinese Community Center of Flushing (CCCF) is a grassroots community organization dedicated to promoting, inspiring, and enriching the lives of Chinese children, adults, and families through programs addressing social, spiritual, and educational needs. CCCF activities target underserved populations, especially children from low-income immigrant Chinese families, isolated Chinese seniors, and undocumented Chinese residents in the Flushing community. Our two Goals: 1 – Provide educational, recreational, cultural, health and career-building opportunities for youth and adults to nurture and sustain their social, mental, and spiritual well-being. 2 – Provide learning opportunities to impart Chinese culture and traditions to the next generation. Our second Goal – to provide learning opportunities that impart Chinese culture and traditions to the next generation – is what is unique about the Chinese Community Center of Flushing. Unlike other metropolitan regions, NY City lacks any Chinese community center that explicitly links its program models and Goals with values integral to Chinese culture and traditions. The Chinese Community Center fills this gap.

华社简介

華社創建於2011年，是一個服務社會的，基層非營利組織。也是三州地區：包括紐約州，新澤西州，康州地區歷史上的第一家由華人創建並服務於華人的社區中心。幫助新老移民解決社會福利、精神生活、以及終身教育等，與華人息息相關的問題。一直以來，華人社區的社會福利和社會服務非常匱乏，我們針對，低收入家庭的兒童、孤寡老人和沒有身份的華人，提供服務與幫助，為居住在皇后區法拉盛的，貧窮和缺乏服務的美國華人爭取公平權益。

華社自創建以來，始終堅定不移地，向兩大目標努力。第一就是向青年和成人群體提供教育、娛樂、文化、健康,等服務和職業發展培訓機會，以培養和維護他們的福祉。第二個目標，是向下一代，也就是第二代移民，教授中國傳統文化知識並提供學習實踐機會，這也是華社的服務宗旨和特色。與其它城市不一樣，紐約缺乏明確的，將活動類型和目標，與中國傳統文化價值關有機結合的華人社區中心，華社剛好填補了這個空白。

Our Programs

CHINESE CULTURE AND LANGUAGE STUDIES

Our Chinese Culture Course, offered throughout the school year, teaches students Pin Yin and important Chinese cultural values, such as filial piety, through Chinese literature classics including the Analects of Confucius and his disciples and Tang Dynasty poems. During our monthly events, students are provided the opportunity to recite their poems and stories that supports their intellectual, emotional and character development.

Traditional Chinese Dance

Our professional instructor introduces students to the elegance and beauty of Chinese culture through the language of movement. Students learn the richness of China’s long history and heritage through dance traditions from China’s numerous ethnic tribes using drums, tambourines, fans, and handkerchiefs. Students are provided the opportunity to perform their dances during our monthly events. Free program for children ages 9 to 12 years, class schedule to be announced.

Chinese painting

In this introductory course in traditional Chinese painting, students learn to appreciate Chinese art and how philosophy and symbolism play a huge part in Chinese art. A professional artist will teach students different color mixing techniques and painting styles using a Chinese painting brush. Students learn how the visual images that they create can express the inner spirits of the subject or the feelings of themselves. Students’ art works will be displayed during our monthly events.

Chinese performing art

Performing art is an important culture heritage which is intergraded to the lives of the Chinese people for thousands of years. CCCF will soon be offering Chinese performing art learning opportunities such as Chinese music instruments and opera singing to the American Chinese youth.

social services

The objective of the CCCF Social Services for New Americans Program is to help at-risk Chinese American and immigrants, in particular older adults and seniors, gain access to much needed social and supportive services (e.g., food stamps, medical coverage, medical services, housing, etc.). The goal of the program is to help these vulnerable individuals maintain their independence and dignity with the overarching goal of improving their overall health and wellness.

The Adult Table Tennis Program is set in NY Indoor Sports Clubs. We provide one hour and half lesson every week with experienced coaches. Table tennis is a sport that can be enjoyed by individuals of any age and physical ability. It develops mental acuity, keeps your brain sharp, improves reflexes and stimulates various different parts of the brain. Table Tennis can also reduce an Alzheimer’s patient’s reliance on medication.
